Juby

Invite only

A mail client with a door for agents.

Keyboard first

Every action has a key: e archives, p parks, w waits for a reply, g then a letter jumps to a list. ⌘K finds any command by name, and ? shows them all.

Super fast

A native Mac app, with the whole mailbox kept on the Mac. Measured on a test archive of 90,000 mails:

MeasureTime
Reopen a mail18 ms
Open Sent again34 ms
Open a saved view178 ms

Made for agents

The Gmail connector was too limited for my agents. Juby gives them one command, juby, to search, read, archive, tag and draft, and reading never marks a mail as read.

Sending stays off until you turn it on. Then an agent can only reply, only to people already on the thread, and its mail waits 5 minutes before it leaves.

Needs you

A model running on your Mac finds the mail that waits on you and lists it longest wait first, with one line saying why. Nothing goes to the cloud.

The model is Qwen 3.5, and it's light: only a small part of it works on each word, so it answers fast. It takes 22 GB of memory, so a MacBook Air with 32 GB runs it. A smaller version is there for Macs with less.

Juby's Needs you view, with made-up people: one mail at a time, Samira Benhaddou asks for the announcement draft by tomorrow noon, waiting on you for 3 days. The request is highlighted, with a draft reply and a No reply needed button under it.

Your own extensions

Small apps that live inside the mailbox, like a desk of who owes whom or invoices sent to the accountant. You add them, turn them off and on yourself, and you can build your own: the guide is written so that an agent can make one from it alone, with the juby command.

They run with no network access, and you allow each one.

Slack in the same place

Slack mentions and webhooks arrive as rows next to your mail, and one key hands any of them to an agent. It worked so well that I'm making it a product of its own: Bureau.

Contact

Hey, thanks for reaching out. I really value the time you take to brief me a bit about your project before we hop on a call or a Slack discussion.

My day rate is between €1,200 and €2,000, depending on commitment, volume and so on. I'd rather you know that before we talk.
